Over the past two decades, ANAFRA has grown through continuous innovation, technological milestones and bold decisions that transformed a small project founded by two enthusiasts into an internationally operating IT company. Twenty years have passed since its foundation on January 12th 2006, and its story proves that a combination of expertise, courage and a human approach can deliver long-term value to customers and build a reliable technological backbone for businesses across industries. Take a look back with us at the key milestones that have shaped our twenty-year journey.
ANAFRA a.s., a well-established player in the information technology sector, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on 12 January 2026. Founded in 2006, the company has evolved into a trusted and stable provider of IT services. What began as a specialist in hosting and data networks has grown over two decades into a system integrator of server technologies from leading global manufacturers and a provider of a broad portfolio of services – including cloud and colocation, attendance systems, Helios ERP implementation, custom software development, and comprehensive IT management for businesses.
“The story of ANAFRA started long before 2006. Back when I was running a Direct Connect hub from my home computer to enable file sharing between users, I already knew I didn’t want to wait until after finishing my studies to build a company. What started as a shared hobby between two enthusiasts gradually grew into ANAFRA,” recalls co-founder Jan Franc.
“Over the past twenty years, we’ve gone through dynamic development. One of the first milestones that accelerated our growth was the implementation of the Helios information system in 2010, which enabled us to expand into multiple locations. Another key step that same year was becoming the only authorized Supermicro system integrator in the Czech Republic, opening the door to new opportunities and exciting clients. In recent years, we’ve further strengthened our market position by building our own TIER III-certified data center and through strategic acquisitions. What I value most is that despite this rapid growth, we’ve remained true to our core principles — responsibility, trust, and long-term relationships with both employees and business partners. We face challenges head-on and always seek solutions that lead to shared success. That commitment will continue to guide us in the years ahead,” adds Jan Franc.

Since its founding, the company has demonstrated consistent growth, expanding into international markets and establishing branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and the United States. Today, ANAFRA employs over 100 people, and its revenue has increased sevenfold over the past seven years. The company now positions itself as an expert in AI infrastructure and a strong partner for technologies that customers rely on every day to work more efficiently.
“Our growth is driven by a long-term strategy focused on innovation and technological advancement. The IT industry is constantly evolving and bringing new challenges, which is why we continue to invest in expanding our portfolio of products and services that help customers secure and develop their IT environments. At the same time, we are committed to maintaining our flexibility and our emphasis on quality and a human-centered approach,” explains Jan Franc.
“This philosophy is also reflected in the year-long campaign and activities we’ve prepared to mark our anniversary. We want to remind people that 2006 was a turning point in the world of technology, and that the progress made over the past 20 years has been truly remarkable. That’s exactly why it’s so important to stand on strong foundations and hold on to the values that have guided us from the very beginning.”
The company’s long-term success has been shaped by its founders and current owners, Jan Franc and Jiří Rohlíček. In 2024, ANAFRA achieved revenues of nearly 28 million USD and continues to strengthen its market position. At the beginning of 2025, the company acquired a 100% stake in ASTEA, spol. s r.o., which has since become a subsidiary of ANAFRA. As part of the group’s continued development and consolidation, the company changed its legal form to a joint-stock company (a.s.) effective 1 April 2025.
