What did the customer approach us with?

PROROK SPORT, s.r.o., a retailer of sports and outdoor clothing and footwear, which operates 7 stores in addition to its e-shop, contacted us to consult the suitability of the proposed server solution. Their current server could no longer meet the growing demands of their operations, and they were faced with the decision of whether to purchase a new, more powerful server or switch to a cloud solution. The company is growing very rapidly in the area of selling sporting goods through an e-commerce store and was unsure if a new physical server would be suitable in terms of long-term sustainability and scalability.

What did the ANAFRA team propose?

In the first step, we conducted an IT audit, identified weak points, and proposed a solution considering the company’s future development. Our analysis clearly showed that cloud solution made the most sense in this case. We came up with an offer for a private cloud, which would run on our infrastructure in our own data center. If the server is hosted in the data center, the system is not dependent on connectivity at the individual branch. Thus, a failure of local connectivity will not affect the operation of other branches. This way, we ensure higher server availability, which is connected to the e-shop. At the same time, this prevents the situation where the customer would have to deal with the lack of capacity again by replacing another server.

 

What was the result?

The customer migrated their physical server to the private cloud based on our recommendation. In parallel, the customer decided to use additional services. Currently, we provide the following services for PROROK SPORT, s.r.o.:

  2. Delivery and setup of all hardware devices
  3. Centralized antivirus protection management on all end devices
  4. IT development planning based on their business activities
